The ever changing mobile phone industry has once again brought surprising, good news to every one of us last month. First is the fulfillment of the long awaited partnership between Verizon and Apple. The other one is the introduction of AT&T Atrix at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011. Both are good, but which one is better than the other?
Verizon and AT&T are the two leading mobile phone service providers in United States of America. Both of them rank at the top in terms of most reasonable fees, phones and features, additional benefits, and customer help & support. There are still eight service providers (Sprint, T-Mobile, Boost, Cricket, Virgin, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and Tracfone) that are competing with these two giants but their strong partnership with telecommunications companies is what sets them apart from the rest of the competition.
AT&T is the chosen ally of Motorola to their much hyped device, the Atrix. After the long exclusive partnership between iPhone and AT&T has ended this year, consumers can now experience a Motorola device from AT&T. As of now, it seems that Atrix will be distributed exclusively to AT&T. But the relationship between Verizon Wireless and Motorola will remain strong as the soon to be released Xoom will be Apple iPad’s biggest rival. It is great to see a venture such as AT&T Atrix directly competing with Verizon iPhone. This would only mean that consumers will have a lot of options to choose from.
As early as February 13, preorders will be taken and to be distributed on the 6th of March.
